The East Texas Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at the University
of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston provides overall leadership
for
the East Texas Rural Access Program (ETRAP). This project has
distinguished itself through the strong grass roots involvement of
over
200 individuals in the target region. In addition, the Texas Institute
for
Health Policy Research convenes a State Agency Advisory Committee
that provides a link between ETRAP and state policy makers.
